Delete your Signalbox account
The Signalbox account is optional. If you created one, you can delete it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
Delete in the app
- Open Signalbox on any device where you are signed in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm. The account is deleted immediately.
Delete without the app
Open api.signalbox.tv/account/delete in any browser and confirm with the sign-in method you use in the app: Sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your e-mail address. After you confirm, the account is deleted immediately. No app is needed.
If you cannot sign in any more, send an e-mail from the e-mail address of your account to support@signalbox.tv with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your e-mail, write from the Apple ID e-mail address and we will match it to your private relay address. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We handle requests promptly and reply when the account is deleted.
What is deleted
Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes from our server:
- your account (account ID, e-mail or Apple relay address);
- your sign-in links (Sign in with Apple, Google or e-mail code);
- your device list;
- your wrapped (encrypted) sync key;
- all of your encrypted sync records;
- Microsoft Store purchase records linked to the account (the purchase itself stays in your Microsoft account).
A stored Sign in with Apple token is revoked at Apple at the same time.
What is not deleted
- Data on your devices (sources, favourites, history, settings) stays until you remove it in the app or uninstall Signalbox.
- Store purchases and subscriptions belong to your store account (Apple, Google, Amazon or Microsoft) and are not affected. Deleting your Signalbox account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your store's subscription settings. A purchase made on a device can still be restored there with Restore purchases.
Retention
We do not keep any copy of your account data after deletion. The only exception is our hosting provider's short-lived operational logs, which are not linked to your account and expire on their own. See the Privacy Policy for details.
